Unique & Significant

Since moving my personal blog over to Tumblr, I’ve been blogging very often and I’ve kept things pretty fresh around here (you should see that here). The thing that has bugged me of late though, is the fact that my unique voice is only being published in short bits as commentary on other’s links, photos, quotes etc.

Whilst I love this approach (it makes blogging regularly much more fun & a helluva lot easier), I’m concerned about my relative lack of publishing more significant, unique, longer articles (these are scattered within the shorter, typical Tumblr-type content, but few are far between). So this has made me re-think my strategy a little…

For starters, I’m finally gearing up to publish my book - Rockstar Business - which obviously succeeds well in communicating my unique ideas in a significantly longer form. The book has been in the making for quite some time now, so I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten it this far, as it also coincides nicely with my focus to publish more unique content.

Beyond that I’m also keen to take my ideas / thoughts / content relating to my recent public speaking gigs, flesh that out and publish in another form. I think this is a massive “win”, since I have already spent a considerable amount of time creating that content, so it’s just a case of adapting it to another medium.

With this, I’d also like to go back to the challenge of Project52 in getting close to writing at least one significant article every way (in one way or another). And please keep me accountable on that.
